Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making our websites and mobile applications accessible, ensuring that all users have unrestricted access to our digital offerings.
In doing so, we follow the guidelines of the Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (BGG NRW) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia (BITV NRW), which implement the European Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on accessibility. Our goal is to continuously make improvements and identify and eliminate potential barriers.

Non-accessible Content
In addition to some technical issues in the code, the following barriers currently exist on our website:
Alt texts are too long: Some alternative texts for images are overly detailed, which may hinder screen reader usability.
Touch targets are too small: Buttons and interactive elements are not always large enough to be easily used on touchscreens.
Heading hierarchy is inconsistent: In certain areas of the website, there are jumps in the heading structure, which can make navigation more difficult for screen reader users.
Incorrect language attributes: The declared language of the website does not always match the actual content language, potentially causing issues for screen reader voice output.
ARIA attributes: The slider element uses unsupported ARIA attributes.
Duplicate main region: The use of the Usercentrics Consent Manager leads to a duplication of the <main> element.
Contrast issues: Some text/background combinations and interactive elements do not have sufficient contrast.
Link text: On some pages, URLs are used as link text.
Chat function: Please feel free to use alternative contact options such as telephone or email.
We are continuously working to remove these barriers and further improve the accessibility of our website.
